Columbus Christian and Cannelton were tied 1-1 after two innings, but the Bulldogs pulled away for a 14-3 win.

Cam Pritchard went 2 for 3 with a triple and three stoled bases for the Crusaders (2-2).

Crusaders drop opener

Columbus Christian opened its season Monday night with a 15-1 loss to Cannelton in a game that was called after four innings because of darkness.

Mariah Holt had the lone hit for the Crusaders.

Eagles fall to Woodmen

GREENWOOD — Brown County took the lead with a run in the top of the first, but Greenwood scored three in the bottom of the inning and went on to post a 5-1 win.

Lexie Austin, Kailey Buccos and Abigail Watson had hits for the Eagles (0-3). Ava Sanders threw a seven-hitter and struck out five.
