Easter egg hunts set for Saturday

No need to hunt for Easter egg hunts for the youngsters. If you haven’t caught one yet, there’s still time to hop to it.

  • The 63rd Annual WCSI Community Easter Egg Hunt will be held at 10 a.m Saturday at Donner Park in Columbus near 22nd and Lafayette streets. The rain date is April 23. There will be four age-designated areas for children 8 and younger, with thousands of plastic Easter eggs filled with candy and prizes. Children should bring their own baskets and will have a chance to meet the Easter Bunny. Age groups will be: under 2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8.
  • A special, separate Egg-ceptional Easter Egg Hunt will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Donner Park near 22nd and Lafayette streets for youngsters with special needs. This includes those with sensory, mobility and other issues. Those who come early and can check out vehicles from the Columbus Police Department, Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department, and Columbus Fire Department.Both hunts are sponsored by Columbus Parks and Recreation Department, the Meridian Kiwanis Club, WCSI AM 1010 and 98.1 FM.
  • The PAAL Easter Egg Hunt at 1 p.m Saturday at the PAAL football field at 5550 S. County Road 50W in Columbus.
