North girls lacrosse splits pair, boys top Roncalli

The Columbus North girls lacrosse team split a pair of games on Saturday in Evansville, falling to Evansville Memorial 8-6 and beating Castle 8-7 in sudden death overtime.

Liberty Jones netted three goals in each game to lead the Bull Dogs. Rylie Boezeman scored two goals, and Kasey Kelley added one against Memorial. Avery Stults scored two goals, and Boezeman, Kelley and Meghan Ives all had one against Castle.

Claire King recorded 20 saves in each game.

On Friday, the North boys lacrosse team beat Roncalli 9-6. Christian Ortega scored three goals, Curran O’Connor and Evan Federle each had two goals and one assist, Owen Barkes scored tow goals, Lucas Fedewa notched two assists and Jason Ho added one assist.

Naren Harianth posted nine saves.
