COLUMBUS, Ind. — A local man was transported by helicopter to an Indianapolis hospital after a one-vehicle accident at 9:53 p.m. Monday in the area of County Road 800S and Base Road.
Bartholomew County Sheriff deputies said they identified a male who had been ejected from the vehicle as Todd Wetherald, 48, Columbus.
The investigation indicated that Wetherald’s Hyandai passenger car was traveling westbound on County Road 800S when it left the roadway, entered a nearby field and overturned.
Without the hospital being named by the department, The Republic is unable to provide a condition report on Wetherald at this time.
