The Indiana State Police will partner with the DEA to sponsor a Prescription Drug Take Back on Saturday.
The effort seeks to prevent prescription drug abuse and theft through proper disposal of prescription drugs.
The Indiana State Police will accept drop-offs of unwanted medication at any ISP post, except for the Lowell the Toll Road. Hours will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The nearest state police post to Columbus is the Versailles post at 902 S Adams St, Versailles.
The program is for liquid and pill medications, and vaping pens without batteries and vaping cartidges will also be accepted. The drop-off will not accept needles, new or used.
The service is free and anonymous with no questions asked.
