North ties Cathedral

INDIANAPOLIS — Zach McLean clubbed a two-run game-tying home run in the top of the seventh at Cathedral Friday, and the game was called because of darkness after seven innings.

Will Baker struck out 14 in 6 2/3 innings for the Bull Dogs (10-2-2) before filling up his pitch count. McLean came on to record the final out.

Lancers fall to Jackets

EDINBURGH — Morristown scored four times in the first inning and went on to hand Edinburgh a 9-0 MHC defeat.

Landen Burton went 2 for 3 for the Lancers (2-10, 0-7) .

Stars stop Olympians

Class 4A No. 3 Bedford North Lawrence limited Columbus East to one hit in a 14-0 Hoosier Hills Conference decision.

Kaylee Cole had the lone hit for the Olympians (5-10-1).

Lancers blank Jackets

EDINBURGH — Edinburgh scored 11 runs over the course of two innings to easily claim a 15-0 MHC victory in five innings over Morristown.

Gracie Crawhorn finished 2 for 3 with a home run and four RBIs, Carly Cowan was 1 for 3 with a double and an RBI and MacKenzie Bieker went 1 for 2 with a double and also earned the win in the circle with seven strikeouts for the Lancers (8-7, 4-4).

Cougars down Mokawks

WALDRON — South Decatur finally broke through with six runs in the top of the sixth inning to claim a 16-6 MHC win over Waldron in six innings.

Latoka Henry finished 3 for 4 with double, triple and three RBIs and Molly Eden, was 2 for 4 with a home run and five RBIs for the Cougars (3-9 2-2).

Panthers pick up win

NORTH VERNON — Jake Grider carded a 42 to lead Jennings County to a 179-213 win against Jeffersonville at St. Anne’s

Jack George added a 43 for the Panthers. Davey Shaw shot 46, Eli Simmons had a 48, Rowan Cook shot 51 and Tanner Stearns finished with a 56.
