HOLLAND, INDIANA
Brett Neier, 53, a resident of Holland, Indiana, passed from this life at 1:30 a.m. Sunday, May 1, 2022, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility in Columbus, Indiana.
Brett was born in Terre Haute, Indiana, July 23, 1968, the son of Ruby I. Hadley Neier Crouse and David L. Neier.
Brett was a member of the 1986 graduating class of Columbus North High School and he earned an associates degree from Indiana State University.
Brett was a United States Marine Corps veteran serving our country for six years before being honorably discharged.
Brett was a maintenance group leader at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana in Princeton, Indiana for twenty-three and a half years. He was an avid NASCAR and NFL fan, and he always had a special place in his heart for his dogs.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Shawn Harp Neier of Holland, Indiana; mother, Ruby Crouse of Columbus; father, David Neier of Brazil, Indiana; daughters, Danica (David) Somheil of Park Ridge, Illinois, Megan Neier of Terre Haute, Indiana, Payton Neier of Holland, Indiana, and Grace Neier of Holland, Indiana; four grandchildren; and his sister, Susan (Jeff) Hood of Gwynneville, Indiana.
Brett was preceded in death by his stepfather, James L. Crouse, June 11, 2017.
A memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 5, 2022, at Westside Community Church, 124 Tipton Lakes Blvd, Columbus, Indiana 47201; Pastor Dennis W. Aud will officiate. Military honors will be presented at church. Family and friends may gather for visitation from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church. An additional memorial service will be held in Holland, Indiana, those details are yet to be determined.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to any animal shelter of donor’s choice.
