Jets stop Shiners
RISING SUN — Hauser broke open a close game with two runs in the fifth and two more in the sixth and won 8-3 Monday at Rising Sun.
Sam Louden threw a four-hitter for the Jets (10-9). Sam Miller went 2 for 4 with two RBIs, and Simeon Wasil had three RBIs.
Lancers handle Genesis
EDINBURGH — Indy Genesis led 3-2 after two innings, but Edinburgh scored seven times in the third and went on to post an 11-6 victory.
Jarrett Turner went 2 for 3 with a double, a home run and three RBIs and Gabe Bennett went 2 for 3 with a double and three RBIs for the Lancers (4-11). Travis Jones and Riley Palmeter combined on a four-hitter.
BOYS GOLF
East falls to Madison
Columbus East fell to Madison 167-188 at Otter Creek.
Carter Greene led the Olympians with a 44. Jared Brooks carded a 46, J.T. Kuhlman and Spencer Erfmeier each shot 49, Conrad Eggers added a 50 and Ben Luedeke had a 51.
Lancers take second
GREENSBURG — Edinburgh finished second and Hauser third in a tri match at Otter Creek. North Decatur won with a 161 to 191 for the Lancers and 196 for the Jets.
Mason Calhoun led the Lancers wtih a 45. Max Blandford carded a 47, Cash Cunningham added a 49, Trevor Moon shot 50 and Devyn Milburn had a 55.
Caleb Wallace led Hauser with a 44. Brenden Burton and Chase Martoccia each shot 50, Bryce Kunze and Ben Johnson each shot 52, Jesse Bragg carded a 55, Marshall Moody added a 56 and Zach Weichman had a 57.

Owls blank Olympians
SEYMOUR — Columbus East fell to Seymour 5-0 in the opening round of the Hoosier Hills Conference Tournament
Columbus East picked up a win at No. 1 doubles, but Seymour took the other four matches to claim a 4-1 victory.
Katie Hong fell to Brooke Schafstall 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles, Ruth Federle lost to Madalyn Baurle 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 singles and Betsy Hoene fell to Elise Hartung 6-2, 6-2 at No. 3 singles. for the Olympians (1-12)
East’s Cathrine Millwood and Katey Rieckers lost to Ashley Clemente and Caroline Thompson 4-6, 6-2. (10-8) at No. 1 doubles. Ashlynn Waddle and Shruthika Kumar fell to Hiley Obermeyer and Carley Sanders 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 doubles.

SHELBYVILLE — Shelbyville won four matches in straight sets in a 5-0 win against Hauser.
Bella Kilps fell to Jaidyn Tackett 6-3, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, Addyson Barriger lost to Emma Sandman 6-3, 6-0 at No. 2 singles and Lydia Jordan fell to Ella Connolly 6-2, 6-4 at No. 3 singles for the Jets (5-6).
Hauser’s Charlie Clark and Gabby Johns lost to Karlie Lawson and Renee Aldridge 6-2, 1-6, 6-4 at No. 1 doubles. Mattie Foster and Piper Rowell fell to Riley Lee and Sydney Baker 6-2, 6-4 at No. 2 doubles.

EDINBURGH — Edinburgh swept the singles matches in a 3-2 Mid-Hoosier Conference win against Southwestern (Shelby).
Bethany Burton beat Lauryn Blondell 6-3, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, Jessica Walsh topped Ella Rice 6-3, 6-3 at No. 2 singles and Peyton Bryant defeated McKinze Belton 6-3, 6-4 at No. 3 singles for the Lancers (6-5).
Edinburgh’s Alyssa Funkhouser and Jillian Turner fell to Brooke Schneider and Kyla Robertson 6-0, 6-4 at No. 1 doubles: Zoey Sida and Gracie Myers lost to Faith Kelley and McKinley Correll 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2 doubles.

NORTH VERNON — Jennings County fell to Bedford North Lawrence 3-2 in the first round of the HHC Tournament.
Reagan Brown beat Rachel Kidd 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, and Tatum Brown topped Naudia Anderson 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2 singles for the Panthers (8-10).

NORTH VERNON — Jennings County scored seven times in the first two innings and went on to post a 10-7 win against Indian Creek.
Ashley Meade went 2 for 3 with two RBIs, and winning pitcher Kenzie Matern went 2 for 3 with a double for the Panthers (9-13). Alexis Carson went 2 for 4 with two RBIs, Grace George went 2 for 4 and Delaynee McCreary had two RBIs.
Warriors top Trinity
SCOTTSBURG — Trinity Lutheran led 4-1 after five innings, but Scottsburg scored nine times in the sixth to claim a 10-4 victory.
Kamzi Gross struck out 16 and had two hits at the plate for the Cougars (8-7). Grace Lance had three hits.
