Thelma Louise Kissling

Thelma Louise Kissling, 87 of Hope passed away May 9, 2022.

Born January 18, 1935 in Ohio County, KY, she was the daughter of Otis Rhoades and Alma Fields Hoover Rhoades. She married David Kissling November 27, 1953 and he preceded her in death December 2, 1998.

Until retirement Thelma was employed at Cummins Engine Company.

She was a member of Hope United Methodist Church, Eastern Star, Royal Neighbors of America and the Eagles Lodge.

Thelma is survived by daughters, Pamela (Paul) Nading of Hope and Kimberly (William) Smith of Temple, TX; grandchildren, Angela (Sam) Allison of Franklin, Kevin (Jamie) Nading of Lafayette, Grant Nading of Hope and Benjamin (Jennie) Smith of Colorado Springs, CO; eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Thelma enjoyed traveling, sewing, gardening, dancing and shopping.

Thelma’s funeral will be Tuesday May 17 at 12:00 p.m. at Norman Funeral Home in Hope and will be officiated by Pastor Ed Cottrell. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hope Moravian Cemetery.

Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Alma; husband, David; sister, Faye Kissling and brother, Sherdon Rhoades.
