Some city offices move to summer hours

The city of Columbus has announced that some departments have summer hours, beginning May 23 and extending through Aug. 5.

Summer hours will be from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. The hours of the individual offices within the city for the summer season are listed below.

The offices of the Mayor, Community Development, Clerk Treasurer, Redevelopment, Human Resources, Human Rights and Planning in City Hall will be open with normal hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • City Engineering will be open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Columbus Police Department Administration will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Columbus Fire Department Administration will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Columbus Municipal Airport will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Animal Care Services will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Parks and Recreation will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Housing Authority will be open by appointment only 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Columbus City Utilities will be open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • The office of City Transit will retain their hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Columbus City Garage will retain their office hours of 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
