Tamage “Moose” D. Foster

HOPE, INDIANA

Tamage D. “Moose” Foster, Sr. age 77, of Hope, passed away Sunday May 22, 2022 at Columbus Regional Hospital. He was born September 4, 1944 in Columbus to the late Roy C. and Ella E. (Tays) Foster.

Moose has been a lifelong Bartholomew County resident and had previously worked at the Brown County State Park, Jay C, Essex Castings, Cosco and the Golden Foundry. He retired from the Columbus City Parks and Recreation. Moose was a great guy who never met a stranger and would lend a hand to anyone.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday May 28, 2022 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Seniour officiating. Following the service, he will be laid rest in Garland Brook Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to a time of visitation on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hope Volunteer Fire Department through the funeral home.

Moose is survived by his wife, Patricia “Pat” (Brown) Foster, whom he married on September 15, 1972; son Tamage (wife, Stacey) Foster, Jr, of Columbus; daughter, Christine (Husband, Doug) Wood, of Hope; brothers, Rick (Wife,Norma) Foster of Hartsville and Johnny Foster of Arkansas; sister, Brenda Hadley of Columbus; grandchildren, Dawn Wicker, Christopher Wood, Justin Wood James Lucas, Daniel Lucas, Caleb Foster, Trevor Foster and Jairis Foster and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Kimberly Sue Lucas; brothers, Le Roy Foster and Charles Foster, Sr. and sisters, Betty Lou Kirk and Julia Bergman.
