During the investigation, deputies were able to determine the identity of the suspect, William Carnahan, Jr. 49, Columbus.
Members of the Intelligence Led Policing Unit (ILPU) located evidence that led to a warrant
being issued for Carnahan’s arrest.
Carnahan was located in Shepherdsville, Kentucky where he was taken into custody by Shepherdsville Police Department without incident.
Carnahan is currently in the Bullitt County Jail and is being held for a Larue County, Kentucky, warrant before being extradited to Indiana.

“The Intelligence Led Policing Union is comprised of members of the Columbus Police
Department, the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office and the Bartholomew Count Prosecutor’s Office” said Bartholomew County Sheriff Matthew A. Myers. ILPU’s goal is to target repeat offenders that cause social harm.
