The following is a list of Memorial Day closings for Monday.
- Columbus City Hall is closed Monday.
- There will be no Columbus city trash collection on Monday. Collections will run one day behind with Friday’s collection on Saturday, June 4. The Columbus Department of Public Works will be closed Monday and reopen at 7 a.m. Tuesday. Crews are continuing to pick up limbs from the storm damage and ask for the public’s patience as the cleanup continues.
- The Columbus City Utilities office will be closed Monday, and reopen at 7 a.m. Tuesday. Customers with a problem with water or sewer service should call 812-372-8861 and follow the prompts.
- Bartholomew County Courthouse and offices are closed Monday.
- The Bartholomew County Landfill, 811 E. County Road 450S will be closed Monday.
- The Columbus/Bartholomew Recycling Center and Bartholomew County Solid Waste District (BCSWMD) offices, 720 S. Mapleton St., will be closed Monday. For more information, visit bcswmd.com.
- The Republic’s offices will be closed Monday, but a newspaper will be published on Memorial Day.
