The Bartholomew County 4-H Fair Queen competition is set for 7 p.m. June 18 at Columbus North High School.

That day, each of the 13 contestants will participate in three individual interviews with judges and also complete a dress rehearsal later in the afternoon.

Each contestant will compete in theme wear, professional wear and formal wear.

This year’s theme is “Breaking News – the 2022 Bartholomew County 4-H Fair is back and better than ever.”

All contestants chose (by drawing out of a hat) a fair event they will promote during theme wear. Contestants are encouraged to be creative and show their personality while showcasing their fair event.

Contestants will thank their sponsor during professional wear and answer an onstage question during formal wear.

After all divisions are complete, the judges will select the 2022 Miss Bartholomew County 4-H Fair Queen and court.

Admission to the queen pageant is $3. The following evening, the 4-H Fair Princess Contest will be staged at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 19 in the Columbus East auditorium. Admission is $1.
