ST. LOUIS — The Columbus Express 08 Boys Orange team has advanced to the championship game of the US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup Regional.
The Orange opened pool play with a 5-0 win against Dakota Alliance from South Dakota on Thursday. The Orange then edged Minnesota Rush 1-0 on Friday and Madison (Wisconsin) 56ers 1-0 on a last-minute goal on Saturday to advance to the final four.
On Sunday, the Orange rallied from a 3-1 first-half deficit to post a 5-3 semifinal win over Chicago Fire. The Orange will play Chicago Rush at 9 a.m. today for the regional championship and a berth in the national championship.
