CPD officers arrest North Vernon man after short scuffle

COLUMBUS, Ind. — CPD officers arrested a North Vernon man on multiple felony warrants after a short scuffle on Monday night.
At approximately 11:50 p.m., CPD officers observed a vehicle that was falsely registered in the area of McKinley Avenue and Ross Street. A short time later, the driver of the vehicle, who was later identified as Ronald L. Miller, 50, of North Vernon pulled into a nearby alley. The officers made contact with Miller who ignored commands after being told that he was being detained. A struggle ensued with Miller after the officers attempted to restrain him and he was taken into custody after a short struggle, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman. The officers confirmed three felony Bartholomew County warrants for Miller’s arrest a short time later. He was transported to the Bartholomew County Jail where he was remanded on the following preliminary charges:
