SILVIS, Ill. — It was a tale of two nines for Tyler Duncan on Thursday.
Duncan, a 2008 Columbus North graduate, fired a 3-under-par 33 on the front nine, but struggled to a 5-over 40 on the back at TPC Deere Run to card an opening-round 73 in the John Deere Classic. He is tied for 111th place.
J.T. Polston leads the tournament at 9-under 62. Michael Gligic is two shots back at 7-under 64.
