PINEHURST, N.C. — Ava Bunker fired a 1-over-par 73 in Wednesday’s final round on Pinehurst No. 6 to finish 62nd in the Junior North & South Amateur.
Bunker, an Edinburgh resident who will be a freshman at Columbus North, had shot 82 on Pinehurst No. 2 and 77 on Pinehurst No. 6 the first two days. She finished at 16-over 232 for 54 holes.
Ting-Hsuan Huang of Taiwan won the tournament at 11-under 205. Sarah Lydic of Ocean View, Delaware, finished second at 6-under 210.
Bunker now turns her attention toward the IMG Academy Junior World Championship, which will be Tuesday through July 15 at Torrey Pines in La Jolla, California.
