Columbus police are asking for the public’s help in gathering information about a Saturday morning shooting that injured a woman.
Officers were dispatched to the 2800 block of Streamside Drive around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday after 911 callers reported shots fired, according to Columbus Police Department public information officer Lt. Matt Harris.
When officers arrived, they located an adult female who had sustained a gunshot wound to her foot. The woman was transported to Columbus Regional Hospital for treatment. The woman’s identity was not immediately released, and Harris said her injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Officers believe a disturbance involving several people occurred before the shooting.
