ELIZABETHTOWN
York K. Sullivan, 75, of Elizabethtown, passed from this life at 4:01 p.m. Monday, July 18, 2022, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Mr. Sullivan was born June 26, 1947, in Shelbyville, Indiana, the son of Robert and Justine Cochran Sullivan.
He married Sharon K. Meahl July 13, 1969.
York was the former of owner of SAE Lubricants.
He was a sports enthusiast and avid outdoorsmen. He was also a U.S. Army Veteran stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years; children, Stephanie (Michael) Kyle of Columbus and Brian (Amanda) Sullivan of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Kaitlynne (Matthew) Polcher, Ella Fisher, Elijah Fisher, Emia Fisher, Isaac Sullivan, Simon Sullivan, Ruby Sullivan and Iris Sullivan; sister, Connie Fowler of Colorado and an aunt, Frieda Crawford of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 Saturday at Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street.
Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to the 1:00 p.m. time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
Inurnment will be at Riverview Cemetery in Seymour with Military Honors presented by the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard.
