Bartholomew County Library has internet, phone outage

COLUMBUS, Ind. — All public computers at the Bartholomew County Public Library are temporarily unable to access the internet and telephone service to the facility at 536 Fifth St. also is not working.
The same problem, which began at about 2:30 Thursday afternoon, cut off both the internet and telephone, library director Jason Hatton said.
The staff believes they have tracked down the cause of the problem and an intermittent restoration of services have been observed.  However, Hatton said an information technology specialist will not arrive in Columbus until sometime this afternoon, he said.
At this time, Hatton said he’s unable to provide an estimate of when full service will be restored.
