COLUMBUS
Virginia I. Bell, 87, passed from life at 6:00 a.m. Saturday, August 27, 2022, at Otterbein Senior Living in Franklin Indiana.
She attended Elizabethtown Christian and Westside Community Churches.
She loved reading her Bible, daily devotionals, bible studies, word searches, and spending time with her family and friends. Virginia retired from Como Plastics in 2000 after 31 years of service and AVI food service in 2010 after 8 years of service. She was also a Foster Grandparent at Smith School for the kindergarten class.
Virginia was born October 26, 1934, in Wayne County, KY. The daughter of Charles and Ada Alexander Martin. Survivors include her three children, Randy Bell of Seymour, Debbie (Dennis) Christian, and Greg Bell both of Columbus; six grandchildren, Heather Haynes, Eric Bell, Chris Bell, Nicole Baumann, Jamie Kuntz, and Ashley Williams, and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Dennis W. Aud officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to time of service Thursday at the funeral home. .
Burial will be at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.
