Charlona Ochs Long, 84, of Columbus, passed away at 4:16 p.m. on August 30, 2022, at Our Hospice Inpatient Facility in Columbus.
A private graveside service will be held.
Born on April 28, 1938, in Madison, Charlona was the loving daughter of Charles and Hellen (Wildey) Ochs. She was united in marriage to Joel Long Sr. He preceded her in death on July 6, 2000.
Charlona enjoyed crocheting, she would donate some of her work to USO at Camp Atterbury, the homeless shelter, and St. Peters Church. She liked to feed birds and loved her cats. Charlona was very creative and did a lot of crafting in her spare time. Most of all she cherished her family and friends.
Survivors include sons, Joel (Marnie) Long Jr. of Ft. Collins, CO, and Alex (Julie) Long of Columbus; brother, Bert Ochs of Columbus; grandchildren, Aislin, Tazwell, Izabel, and Allie Long.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Hellen Ochs; husband, Joel Long Sr.; son, Charles Long.
