Haskell Junior Shoultz

COLUMBUS, INDIANA

Haskell Junior Shoultz, 77, a resident of Columbus, Indiana, passed from this life at 5 p.m. Friday, September 2, 2022, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Mr. Shoultz was born in Metcalfe County, Kentucky, February 16, 1945, the loving son of Haskell M. and Bessie L. Parrigin Shoultz. On August 7, 1964, Haskell married Charlene K. Greene; she survives.

Mr. Shoultz was a 1963 graduate of Columbus High School. He worked in maintenance at Cummins Engine Company retiring in 2010 after 47 years of service.

Mr. Shoultz was a member of Garden City Christian Church. He was an avid fisherman and always enjoyed going to his home on Dale Hollow in Kentucky. He loved his family and especially cherished his grandkids.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of 58 years, Charlene; sons, Michael (Shannon) Shoultz of Portland, Tennessee and Mark (Megan) Shoultz of Columbus; grandchildren, Caleb (Nikki) Shoultz of Longmont, Colorado, Benjamin Shoultz of Columbus and Bailey Shoultz of Columbus; great-grandchildren, Kaitlynn Hawk, Kane Allred, and Zoey Shoultz; brothers, Harold (Carol) Shoultz of Columbus, Doug (Nedra) Shoultz of Wrangell, Alaska, and Rondyal Shoultz; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Mr. Shoultz was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Chrissy Shoultz; and a son, Matthew Shoultz.

The funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, September 8, 2022, at Garden City Christian Church with his brother, Reverend Doug Shoultz officiating. Family and friends may gather for visitation from 4 p.m. until service time Thursday at the church.

Private burial will be at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to Garden City Christian Church of the donor’s choice of charities.
