North’s Ava Bunker wins golf state medalist honors by dominating the field

CARMEL Ava Bunker didn’t just win a state championship in golf on Saturday, she did it in a dominating fashion.

The Columbus North standout became only the second freshman ever to win medalist honors at the Girls Golf State Finals. Her nine-shot win at Prairie View Golf Course ties for the second-biggest margin of victory in the 50-year history of the state tournament.
