Star A. Mead, 48, of Columbus, died at 11:00 p.m. October 1, 2022, at Our Hospice of South-Central Indiana Inpatient Care Facility.

Star was born November 15, 1973, in Columbus, the daughter of Jim and Colleen (Kelley) Mead. She married Rebecca (Moore) Mead on August 20, 2020.

Star loved fishing, playing pool and cards, basketball, riding bikes, and especially loved music. She also loved gardening and was very proud of her yard. She always had an open door for anyone who needed her, no matter what time it was.

A celebration of life will be at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, October 9th, 2022 at 388 Glendale Dr., Columbus, Indiana 47201.

Survivors include her mother, Colleen Mead; wife, Rebecca Mead; sons, Nick (JoAnn) Trulock of North Vernon, Rik (Jenny) Trulock of Columbus, Sam Minor of Columbus, Liam Richards of Columbus, and Desmond Richards of Columbus; brothers, Charlie (Kim) Mead of Columbus, Ed (Glenda) Mead of Columbus, Jimmy Mead of North Carolina, Richard (Donetta) Mead of Columbus, and Hershel Asberry of Columbus; grandchildren, Alyssa Bell, Kaylee Trulock, Evelyn Trulock, and Christina Hobson; aunt, Connie (Rick) Winiger of Columbus; nieces and nephews, Dorthea Glick, Chrissy Mozingo, Dystiny Green, Samson Mead, Shilo Mead, Kendyll Robins, Eddie (Mickey) King, Dylan King, Loralee Mead, Jennifer Mead, Edward Mead Jr., Christina Mead, Joseph Mead, Leyla Fish, Lelynd Fish, Rue Glick, Holland Glick, Coraline Mozingo, and furry friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Mead; first wife, Angel (Trulock) Mead; grandson, Riley Trulock; sisters, Wendy (Joe) Fish, Nada King, Patty Hornandez; nieces and nephews, Stevie King and Shelby Mead.

Cremation services have been entrusted to Jewell Rittman Family Funeral Home.
