Columbus has announced its leaf pickup plans for this fall.
Residential leaves will be collected curbside, the same day as trash collection. Leaves need to be curbside by 7 a.m.
Residents are asked to refrain from placing leaves in the street as they clog storm drains during rainfall, which causes streets to flood.
Leaves will not be collected if they are in bags. If you choose to bag your yard waste material you may bring it to the compost site located at 720 S. Mapleton St., next door to the Department of Public Works and dump out the bags. The bags are then reusable.
