North Vernon police arrest suspect on multiple drug-related charges

NORTH VERNON, Ind. — North Vernon police arrested a suspect on multiple drug-related charges after serving a search warrant at an apartment in the 400 block of East O&M Avenue.

The search warrant was served at 11:30 p.m. Monday with Officer Christopher Knight acting on information leading to the search warrant for the apartment of David Carr, 43, North Vernon.

Officers served the warrant and located approximately 12 grams of methamphetamine,
a .22-caliber rifle, marijuana, other THC products and a large amount of drug paraphernalia, said Sgt. Andrew Richmond, North Vernon Police Department spokesman.

Carr was arrested and transported to the Jennings County Jail on preliminary charges of: –Felon in possession of a firearm, Level 4 felony
Possession of methamphetamine, Level 6 felony
Maintaining a common nuisance, Level 6 felony
Possession of a syringe, Level 6 felony
Possession of paraphernalia, Class A misdemeanor
Possession of marijuana, Class A misdemeanor
