FISHERS
David “Bey” Johnson-Bey, Jr., of Fishers, passed away at 6:15 a.m. Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Allisonville Meadows Rehabilitation in Fishers.
David was born March 18, 1960, in Shelbyville, Indiana, the son of David and Joan Starks Johnson-Bey, Sr.
David was formerly employed with Saps Bakery/Dolly Madison Foods for several years. He loved P-Funk, Rap and R&B music and was a DJ many years.
Survivors include his mother, Joan Johnson-Bey of Hope; siblings: Salome Johnson-Bey of Fishers, Yvonne Johnson-Bey and Jerome (Alexandra Vargas) Johnson-Bey of Indianapolis, Deborah (Douglas) McDuffey of Shelbyville, Michael Johnson-Bey of Columbus. Nieces and nephews: Bella Johnson-Bey of Fishers, Latasha Johnson-Bey, LaShonda Johnson-Bey, and DaJuan Johnson-Bey of Indianapolis; DaMiles McDuffey, DaMiah McDuffey, Kameron Timberlake, Kamyah Timberlake and Kristopher Timberlake of Shelbyville, and a host of aunts, uncles, great nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by his father David Johnson-Bey, Sr. and brother, Gregory Johnson-Bey.
In keeping with the family’s request, cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held on at 12:00p.m., Saturday, October 29, 2022, at the Moorish Science Temple #55, 4182 N County Road 700E, Hope, IN.
