COLUMBUS
Malcolm L. Gilliland, 37, of Columbus, Indiana passed away Saturday, October 22, 2022.
Malcolm was born February 26, 1985. He lived most of his life in Florida. He loved the ocean, palm trees, sweets, pizza, movies, family gatherings, music, and dancing. He was very creative and artistic and loved to write poetry.
Malcolm is survived by his mother, Angela Doss; his father, Troy Sebastian; grandparents, Sharon and Jeff Boulware, Doug Gilliland, and Grace Sebastian; aunt, Janet Hanks; uncle Rob (Ara) Gilliland; sisters, Melanie (Ernesto) and Miranda; his nieces; and numerous cousins and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his uncle, Ron Hanks; grandparents, Bob and Marie Gilliland, Bryan and Stella Settles, and Lloyd Sebastian.
In honor of Malcolm’s life, friends and family may gather for visitation on Thursday, November 3 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street. A private funeral service will be held at a later date and he will be laid to rest at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Malcolm was a very generous and loving human and he will be greatly missed. He is gone far too soon.
