Columbus East High School parents and students were notified this morning that a power outage at the school will necessitate an e-learning day Thursday.

A message alert sent to East and C4 families from the Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. via ParentSquare on Thursday morning read as follows:

“CEHS is still without power in critical areas and the building is closed to students. Classes will be conducted through eLearning on Thursday, November 3. Please check itslearning for assignments. We will update you again later today with information about after school activities and Friday’s school status.”
On Wednesday evening, BCSC sent out this message: “Critical portions of CEHS are currently without power and MAY result in the need for an eLearning day for all students that have classes at East on Thursday. We are working with Duke Energy to get power back on as quickly as possible for the entire building and will provide an update no later than 5 a.m. (similar to school closing.)
