Forest Park luminaria lighting Sunday

Forest Park subdivision in Columbus will be having its 25th annual luminaria lighting from 5:30 p.m. Sunday until the candles burn out.

More than 2,000 white bags were distributed to those households in the Forest Park neighborhood, according to coordinator Harriet Armstrong.

Each household has been asked to place the bags in front of their house with kitty litter or sand to hold the bag in place and a candle for a light. Organizers want the community to know that they are welcome to drive through or walk through the neighborhood to enjoy the lights.

Entrances to the neighborhood are two Hawthorne Drive entrances off of National Road across from North Christian Church and Nugent Boulevard off Rocky Ford Road.
