Crusaders win in OT

Jordan Burton drove for a layup with 1.4 seconds remaining to lift Columbus Christian to an 82-81 overtime Southern Roads Conference win against Pleasantview Christian on Friday.

The Crusaders had led 52-41 after three quarters before Pleasantview rallied to send it to overtime.

Peyton Walden scored 27 points, and Burton finished with 25 points to lead Columbus Christian (5-3, 2-0). Jacob Bell had 13, and Noah Edwards added 11.

Eagles rout Clovers

NASHVILLE — Brown County raced to a 34-6 halftime lead and went on to post a 50-16 Western Indiana Conference win against Cloverdale.

Lexie Austin led the Eagles (7-5, 3-3) with 13 points. Abigail Watson scored 10, and Katie Tipton added eight.
