COLUMBUS
Julie Anne Yow Neumann, 36, of Columbus, died on December 19, 2022. Julie was born June 15, 1986, to Craig Yow and Patricia Boain Yow.
Julie was a graduate of Pattonville Senior High in Maryland Heights, Missouri. Julie moved to Columbus about 10 years ago and had been employed as a para-professional at the Bartholomew County School Corporation for the last couple of years. She was working towards her goal of achieving a degree to become a special education teacher.
Julie was 100% devoted to her children; and was very excited about expecting the birth of her daughter, Caroline Yow. She was a true hockey mom through and through. She loved everything about her children, as they were her life and everything she worked for. Julie loved nature, and horseback riding, was an avid writer, and was very artistic; she even did some woodworking. Julie was very fond of German Shephard dogs, especially her own, named Remi. She was a very friendly and loving person to all that knew her.
Survivors left to cherish her memory include her two boys, Ethan and Landon Neumann, Parents; Craig and Connie Yow of Burnsville, North Carolina, and her mother Patricia Boain Yow of Pauline, South Carolina. Julie is also survived by her sisters, Diana Yow, and Lori and Mark Griffin Jr.; grandparents Nathan and Charlotte Yow; her Aunt Cheryl; Nieces, Carissa, Madison, Mackenzie, and Olivia; Nephews, Carson, Carter, Mason, Hunter, and Hayden; and of course, all of her extended family and friends.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home from 3:00 – 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm also on Tuesday evening with Pastor Derek Carpenter officiating. Burial will be held at a later date at Marcus Cemetery in Fredericktown, Missouri.
Memorial donations may be directed to the family for the continued care of her children.
