New Washington banked in a 3-pointer at the buzzer to send the game into overtime, but in the extra period, Hauser came up short in a 54-51 loss. Madelyn Poe finished with 16 points, Kyliegh Parrott had 12 and Adrianna Musillami added 10 for the Jets (8-5).

Panthers remain perfect

The Jennings County boys basketball team are still undefeated on the season as they won the Batesville Tournament with a 72-47 victory over host Batesville. Parker Elmore led the Panthers (10-0) with 17 points. Keegan Manowitz had 12 points, Carter Kent with 11 and Owen Law and Justin Ramey had 10 apiece.

Earlier in the semifinal round, Jennings defeated North Harrison 77-54. Kent finished with 24 points, Manowitz had 13 and Law added 12.
