The following closings have been reported for the New Year’s holiday.
- Columbus city offices will be closed Dec. 30 and Jan. 2, and reopen on Jan. 3.
- The Columbus Department of Public Works will follow the city offices closing schedule with offices reopening at 7 a.m. on Jan. 3. There will be no city trash collection on Monday, Jan. 2. All collections will be on a one day delay with Jan. 6 collections picked up on Jan. 7.
- The Columbus City Utilities will be closed Friday, Dec. 30 and Monday Jan. 2, with business hours resuming at 8 a.m. Jan. 3. Customers with a problem with water or sewer service should call the business office at 812-372-8861 and follow the prompts. As a reminder, the utilities lobby is closed due to renovation and all business transactions are being conducted at the drive-up window.
- All Bartholomew County offices, including the county courthouse, will be closed Friday, Dec. 30 and Monday Jan. 2.
