COLUMBUS
Glenna F. Owen, 77, of Columbus passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023 at her home.
Glenna was born in Columbus July 4, 1945, the daughter of Robert and Edith Brown Walker. She married Howard Ron Owen October 25, 1997 in Azalea. He preceded her in death July 10, 2006. She was a former hairdresser, having operated her own shop. In 1992 she started managing the scale house at the Bartholomew County Landfill, retiring after 18 years.
Glenna enjoyed bowling and was a member of a bowling league for several years, after retirement she joined a Euchre Club where they met to play cards every month.
She is survived by her children Heather (John) Logan of Columbus and Denver (Andrea) Sparkman of Crothersville; several step-children and their families; brother, Michael (Pat) Walker of Columbus; grandchildren, Rahianna Logan, Daisy Logan, Dale Sparkman.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Harold Walker.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Myers~Reed Chapel on 25th Street with Rev. Al White officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to service time. Burial will be in Garland Brook Cemetery. Online condolences may be directed to the family at www.myers-reed.com.
