COLUMBUS, Ind. — Bartholomew County Sheriff deputies and German Township firefighters were sent to the I-65 northbound rest park at 5:30 a.m. Thursday on a report of a semi on fire.
Upon arrival, responders located a single tracker trailer on fire. Deputies cleared the parking area where others were sleeping in their vehicles.
Columbus Township Fire arrived and assisted with putting the fire out.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remains unknown. CPD assisted at the scene as well.
