Main Street Hospice seeks volunteer applications

Franklin-based Main Street Hospice is offering free training for applicants interested in making volunteer visits in the following counties: Bartholomew, Brown, Hancock, Hendricks, Johnson, Marion, Monroe, Morgan, and Shelby.

Hospice volunteers undergo comprehensive and ongoing training to provide patient visits in private homes, independent living, long-term care, and/or assisted living settings; provide emotional and practical support to caregivers in a private home; and provide clerical/administrative support in the Franklin office.

Pet team and music therapy volunteer opportunities are available, and Main Street Hospice also works with community members who wish to donate homemade blankets, adult clothing protectors, and holiday items for patients among a variety of ways to give and volunteer.

To make inquire or be considered for a free upcoming training session, complete the volunteer application at mainstreethospicein.com, or contact the volunteer coordinator, Cheryl Mioduski, at 317-736-0055 or [email protected].
