North routs Falcons

INDIANAPOLIS — Columbus North shut out Perry Meridian in the second quarter Saturday to take a 29-9 halftime lead and went on to post a 49-26 road victory.

Ty Ferguson led the Bull Dogs (11-5) with 16 points. Luke Harmon scored nine, and Tyler Blythe and Cooper Horn each scored eight.

Crusaders fall to CAM

MADISON — Columbus Christian was within 27-14 at halftime, but Christian Academy of Madison pulled away for a 69-28 victory.

Jacob Bell led the Crusaders (11-12) with nine points. Cam Pritchard added eight.

Lancers rally past CCL

EDINBURGH — Cambridge City Lincoln scored the game’s first 13 points before Edinburgh rallied for a 77-64 victory.

Caleb Dewey led the Lancers (9-5) with 28 points. Connor Ramey scored 16, Jarrett Turner had 12 and Jackson Hartwell added 10.

Panthers top Cougars

GRRENSBURG — Greensburg jumped out to a 28-11 halftime lead and went on to post a 49-31 win at South Decatur.

Jacob Scruggs led the Cougars (8-7) with 21 points.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Columbus Christian wins

MADISON — Columbus Christian raced to a 17-4 lead after one quarter and cruised from there to a 60-30 win at Christian Academy of Madison.

Sarah Lorimor led the Crusaders (13-4) with 31 points.

Panthers edge Warriors

INDIANAPOLIS — Warren Central led 48-45 after three quarters, but Jennings County rallied for a 65-62 victory.

Juliann Woodard led the Panthers (15-5) with 25 points. Mollie Ernstes scored 18, and Megan Vogel added 14.

Eagles cruise to win

NASHVILLE — Brown County jumped out to a 25-11 halftime lead and went on to post a 58-35 Western Indiana Conference win against North Putnam.

Abigail Watson led the Eagles (11-9, 6-4) with 17 points. Savannah Oden scored 15, and Cady Kemp added 10.

SWIMMING

East splits with Jeff

JEFFERSONVILLE — The Columbus East boys picked up a 111-68 win at Jeffersonville. The Red Devils won the girls meet 105-81.

Brady Beyer led the East boys with wins in the 200-yard freestyle (1 minute, 51.41 seconds) and 100 butterfly (56.75). Other individual winners were Cavan Stilson in the 50 freestyle (23.61), Gavin Day in the diving competition (240.50), Judah Nickoll in the 100 backstroke (1:00.06) and Ethan Hall in the 100 breaststroke (1:10.04). The Olympians captured the 200 medley (1:46.46) and 200 freestyle (1:43.78) relays.

For the girls, Cassidy Furnish won the 200 freestyle (2:12.80), Gabbie Meier took the diving (182.70) and Josie Havenaar captured the 100 backstroke (1:09.82). East also won the 400 freestyle relay (4:15.15).

GYMNASTICS

Olympians take third

BLOOMINGTON — Columbus East scored an 88.2 to finish third in a tri meet against Bloomington North and Roncalli.

Cami Warren finished third on the vault (8.6) and fifth on the bars (7.75) on her way to a fifth-place finish in the all-around with a 31.725 to lead the Olympians.
