Free local nature hikes are being offered by Ivy Tech Community College Columbus biology faculty members. Anyone interested in learning more about the natural environment is encouraged to attend.
The next hike, focusing on winter wonders, will take place on Saturday, Feb. 4 at 10 a.m. along the Driftwood River near Edinburgh. Tom Sobat will lead the hike.
The hike is open to the public and will meet at the Driftwood State Fishing Area, located at 8825 S. U.S. 31, in the first paved parking area. The college will have some binoculars on hand, but participants are encouraged to bring their own if they have them.
