Cougars top Olympians

BLOOMINGTON — Columbus East wrapped up the regular season with a 108-77 loss Monday at Bloomington North.

Brady Beyer won the 200-yard freestyle (1 minute, 48.71 seconds) and 100 breaststroke (1:00.94), and Judah Nickoll took the 100 butterfly (58.07) and 100 backstroke (58.01) to lead the Olympians. Misha Machavariani captured the 200 individual medley (2:07.91), and East won the 200 medley relay (1:42.84).

Finishing second for the Olympians were Gavin Day in the diving competition (248.10), Cavan Stilson in the 100 butterfly (1:01.06) and Todd Hundley in the 500 freestyle (5:15.62). East also was second in the 200 freestyle relay (1:34.50).

East takes second

BLOOMINGTON — Columbus East finished second in a tri meet at Bloomington South. The host Panthers won the meet.

Cami Warren finished second on the bars (7.795) and fourth on the floor (8.225) on her way to a fourth-place finish in the all-around (32.275). Shelby Kendrick placed sixth on the beam (8.025), and Amelia Fay was sixth in the all-around (27.18).
