Brides who are planning a trip down the aisle this year or next will want to make a planning stop at the 2023 Republic Bridal Show Sunday at The Commons, 300 Washington St.

This year’s show has had a makeover with new features, vendors and a main stage with activities geared to help couples find the resources they need for “local advice from local wedding experts.”

The show, from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, will have its first special event at 1:30 p.m. with a cake tasting opportunity from Original Party Mart and Sweet Escape Cake Co.

Brides will be able to sample some flavors available for wedding cake choices while the cake lasts.

At 2:30 p.m., Sassy Ginger Boutique in Edinburgh will take center stage with a spring fashion show on The Commons front stage.

Throughout the day, there will be food and drink samples from a wide variety of vendors, including sample cocktails provided by Bourbons & Brews (limited availability and you must be 21 years old or older to participate).

The Republic is encouraging those planning to attend the bridal show to pre-register at therepublic.com/bridalshow/.

Those who preregister will be eligible for door prizes ranging from a $400 value prize from Hotel Indigo, a $480 gift card from Skin Trends and a $130 La Charcuterie prize.

Those who register at the event can scan the QR code as preregistration to be eligible for the door prizes.
