Adler Larson // Columbus North senior track athlete
Larson ran a personal-best to finish 22nd in the 3,200 meters in Friday’s Carmel Distance Showcase, then won the 3,200 in Saturday’s Pike Invitational.
His performance last week: “I was really happy with my performance. I PR’d by three seconds in the 3,200, and I felt good coming back the next day in winning it.”
Do you do anything special to prepare? “I usually eat pasta the night before, and then the morning before the meet, I’ll drink a Pedialyte and then just stay ready throughout the day.”
Favorite drink: “Water”
Favorite food: “Pizza”
Favorite class: “Calculus”
Favorite sports team: “Indianapolis Colts.”
Favorite athlete: “Jonathan Taylor”
Role model: “My older brother Avery Larson”
Best advice: “Focus on the little things, just doing every step to the best of your ability.”
Athletics goal: “I’d love to make it to state in either the 1,600 or the 3,200 or the 4×800 possibly.”
If you could travel anywhere: “Iceland. I just enjoy all of the scenery there.”

Kyleigh Wolf
Wolf won the 1,600 and 3,200 meters in a dual meet win against Columbus East, then captured the 3,200 in Saturday’s Pike Invitational.
Her performance last week: “I was really happy with the way that I went out and the way that I raced the races.”
Do you do anything special to prepare? “I usually eat pasta the night before, or sometimes, my dad will grill steak.”
Favorite drink: “Propel water”
Favorite food: “I enjoy steak a lot”
Favorite class: “Nursing”
Favorite sports team: “I really like the Ohio State football team.”
Favorite athlete: “(Senior teammate) Julie Klaus definitely helps me with my running. I’ve looked up to her these past two years.”
Role model: “My brother (former Columbus East and current Valparaiso swimmer Dathan Wolf) or my parents (Dan and Amber Wolf) because they all three just push me to be the best I can.”
Best advice: “To not stress with my performance and be content with what I run and even if it’s not the time that I wanted, as long as I give my best effort, that’s the best thing.”
Athletics goal: “This year, I would like to try to qualify for state in the 1,600 or even on the 4×800 team.”
If you could travel anywhere: “Probably Arizona, because I feel like it has a lot to offer and has the Grand Canyon and everything. It’s just always been inspiring to me.”
