Beatrice (Bea) Pearl Miller was born on October 7, 1936 in Hackensack, New Jersey to G. Dwight and Charlotte Pearl Meade.
She enjoyed traveling, knitting, crocheting, weaving, cake decorating, woodworking, puzzles, gardening, playing games, and cooking for her family and friends. She was a vocal advocate for equality, particularly for the LGBT community. She held many jobs over the course of her life, while still being a devoted wife and mother of three boys.
Her last two years were spent in Columbus, Indiana, and she passed away resting peacefully on April 25, 2023.
Bea is survived by her husband, Jerry, their three sons, Ron Miller (Cathy Borer), Keith Miller (Steve McIntyre), Tim (Elizabeth) Miller and two grandchildren, Catherine Naomi Miller and Jackson Herbert Miller. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother and sister-in-law Kenneth and Catherine Meade, and grandson, Quinton Timothy Miller.
Visitation will be held at Memorial Baptist Church, Columbus, Indiana on Saturday, April 29 at 1:00pm, followed by a memorial service at 3:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, she has requested that donations in her name be made to either the American Heart Association or Memorial Baptist Church.
