JENNINGS COUNTY — Jennings County Sheriff deputies and Indiana State troopers from the Sellersburg district investigated a fatal crash involving a motorcycle and truck that left one person dead in the 9000 block of Highway 3 North Saturday.
At about 9:15 p.m., deputies were sent to the crash near the Decatur County line. They found a 23-year-old male from Westport who had sustained life-threatening injuries, deputies said. He was transported to St. Vincent Jennings Hospital emergency room where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the truck, identified as Mark Shreve, 45, Westport, was taken to St. Vincent Jennings to be checked for minor injuries, deputies said. During that time, he was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, deputies said.
Indiana State Police crash reconstructionists investigated the crash and an investigation continues.
