COLUMBUS, Ind. — Bartholomew County Sheriff deputies are investigating a two-vehicle accident that occurred at 9:03 p.m. on North U.S. 31 near West County Road 800N.
Investigators said three people were injured in the accident, all requiring medical attention.
Two were transported to Columbus Regional Hospital while the third was flown by LineLine to an Indianapolis area hospital.
U.S. 31 was shut down for approximately four hours while the Accident Reconstruction Team documented the collision scene. Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor however this is an ongoing investigation with no arrests made at this time.
