Mr. Steven Douglas Gossett of Estero FL passed away at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Ft. Myers FL at 4:15 p.m. on May 20, 2023. Steven was born in Columbus, Indiana on June 6, 1950. Steven was preceded in death by father Milton and mother Catherine Gossett, by wife Sabrina Lynn Gossett, brother Jeff Gossett, sister Mary Pankey, grand daughter Sabrina Piper Herron, and brother Kevin Gossett. Steven is survived by his sister Shirley Gossett Chaney and brothers Milton and Gary Gossett, as well as daughter Layla and husband Eric Bennett, and daughter Athena and husband Francis T. Crump. Grand children include grand daughters Rhianna and Chandra Bennett, and grand sons Francis J. and Philip Crump. Great Grand children include Aaden and Adeline Bennett, and Cooper and Avery Broxton. Steven was a retired veteran of the U.S. Navy. Burial services will be held June 24, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Bear Creek Cemetery in Jennings County on W County Rd 740 N. Celebration of life immediately thereafter for close family and friends.
