June 19

Orchids to

the wonderful Columbus firefighters who waved back at my excited 2-year-old great-grandson as they passed my home on Columbia Drive Sunday morning and then brought him his very own fire helmet. He won’t soon forget that memory.

Second Baptist Church for serving a delicious luncheon on Saturday.

the staff of the Republic for eloquently pointing out the preferential treatment a local unrepentant lawmaker received and how much his antics gain attention rather than his policy making skills.

the excellent editorial exposing the justice system’s preferential treatment of Jim Lucas.

Jalene Hahn for her interesting column about how to deal with retirement.

Lee Shipman for his letter urging local Republicans to distance themselves from the former president, long overdue!

Holly and Pam at Columbus Regional Hospital IV Therapy Department for a great job done June 18, from Jeff Wasson.

Teresa Deppe for the beautiful lighthouse picture in the paper.

Happy Birthday to

Jeff Sturgeon, from your family, Pat and Donna.

Josie Vincent, from Pastor Marvin Brown and Trinity Baptist Church.
