Charles (Chuck) Allen Luse, 73, of Hamilton, Ohio passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, June 12, 2023.
Chuck was born December 14, 1949, in Columbus, Indiana. The son of Charles E and Ann C. (Trapp) Luse.
He graduated from Columbus North High School in 1968.
He was employed by Honeywell Intelligrated for 25 years and retired in 2018. Chuck was previously employed by Cummins Engine Company before leaving Columbus in 1989.
In his younger days, he enjoyed playing golf and gardening. More recently, he found joy in researching his family genealogy, working in his yard, being outside sitting around the firepit, and visiting with his neighbors. He also enjoyed spoiling and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and attending their sporting and arts events. He loved to take care of his home and his wife, Sherry (Smith) Luse of 43 years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sherry (Smith) Luse, children Matthew (Amanda) Luse, Kimberly (Brian) Bennett, and Megan Luse. Grandchildren Alexandria (Mitchell) Allender, Chloe (Ethan Baugher) Luse, Sarah Bennett and Reef (Charlie) Bennett and great-grandchildren Iriee and Ariel Allender. Brother Jay (Joyce) Luse and Sister Carolyn (Bob) Acor and several nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his parents and a sister, Lois Kay Luse.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 26, 2023, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Steve Yeaton officiating. Calling hours will be from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Hospice of South-Central Indiana or to The American Diabetes Association.
